Social protection

Well designed social protection policies may reduce poverty and vulnerability, by promoting efficient labor markets, diminishing people’s exposure to risks, and enhancing their capacity to protect themselves against hazards and interruption/loss of income. This collection explores the current state of social protection in Malaysia, highlighting gaps among the insecure as well as informal workers.
