Migrants, foreign workers, refugees
As of end June 2020, there are some 177,940 refugees and asylum-seekers registered with UNHCR in Malaysia. As a number of COVID-19 clusters emerged among migrant workers living in crowded spaces, a hard stance has been adopted to deport undocumented migrant workers back to their countries of origin, during the MCO.
