Orang asli and orang asal communities potentially faced unique challenges during the Movement Control Order (MCO), which threatened some of the villages' access to food, healthcare, and continuation of livelihoods. A number of villagers relied on community support, traditional wisdom, and observed a resurgence in barter trade to navigate the challenges presented.
