Children

About a third of Malaysia's population consists of children. New research suggest that during the COVID-19 pandemic, children may be especially vulnerable to disease exposure and complications. Other issues encountered by children may include mental health impacts from lack of socialization during the movement control order. Children that fall within pockets of poverty are also disproportionately affected, consequent from reduced access to food, healthcare, education, and other necessities.
