Ageing Population
By 2030, Malaysia is expected to be an ageing nation whereby 15% of its population will be over 60 years old. By the year 2040, Malaysia is projected to have an almost equal share of of the young and older population. Preparations towards this scenario calls for addequate institutional support, public health infrastructure, and financial safety nets to support a robust social fabric.
