About MY Collective Intelligence Network

All too often we rush into solutions before thoroughly understanding the problem. Beginning with COVID-19, MY Collective Intelligence Network (COLIN, in short) will support efforts to piece together the bigger picture of:

What can we learn from COVID-19 about vulnerabilities and new normals?

How can we build resilience moving forward?

Our philosophy is simple: better decisions come from listening to diverse perspectives, and from robust and reliable data. This is true whether you’re a cabinet minister framing a policy or a student deciding on what to study. With an emphasis on content relevant to national and subnational contexts, COLIN is an experimental platform to build whole-of-society intelligence using various data sources, in partnership with various organizations and entities—especially those working with last-mile, front-line or otherwise vulnerable communities, and/or researching niche and emerging subjects. If you have a story to share, a perspective to offer, or an issue to bring to our attention, we’re all ears. We have only one condition: that whatever is shared here is backed by data, not hearsay; by evidence, not empty opinions.

About UNDP Accelerator Lab

In 2019, UNDP built the world’s largest and fastest learning network on sustainable development challenges. We create actionable intelligence, testing solutions with national partners. It’s early, but so far we’re winning awards. For example, Apolitical's Global Public Service Teams of the Year Award.

As part of UNDP’s global policy teams and country offices, the 60 Lab teams covering 78 countries bring bright, unusual talent into the development sector: from prototyping and working with citizen generated data, to performing tasks related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The Accelerator Labs are designed to close the gap between the current practices of international development in an accelerated pace of change. They model a new capability to make breakthroughs on the future of development: inequality, decarbonization, the 4th industrial revolution and new forms of governance.
